Necrophagist - you either love them or hate them. For me it's the former - they are like the Jazz of metal. Officially they fall under the 'technical death metal' umbrella - not to be confused with standard death metal.

Stabwound, the opening track is a blisteringly intense song, amazing drum work, guitarmanship, and dark, evil vocal delivery. The album continues on in this fashion and never dissapoints. The pinnacle of the album is the track Seven which in my opinion is the most powerful track to date from Necrophagist.

Production quality is great - instruments and vocals are crisp and clean. The downside? the album clocks in at just over 32 minutes, almost a tease, as your getting excited by what you're listening to, the album finishes.
